Can I upgrade my state-owned equipment to OBDII? Who owns the Upgrade?

Yes. Any State-Owned safety-only machine can be upgraded to OBDII with a simple add on kit that you can install yourself.  The state still owns the analyzer but you as the customer own the OBDII upgrade kit and associated license which is transferrable.

Why does the BanaLogic Analyzer not use the Internet to Connect with the VID?

The BanaLogic Analyzer is internet ready, however program restrictions prevent us from communicating with the Vehicle Inspection Database through the internet.

How do I arrange for Return of the Defective Equipment?

Your replacement equipment will have included a FedEx return tag. You should place the defective equipment in the box that your replacement was sent in.  Contact FedEx Ground at 1-888-777-6040. A live person should answer and you should state that you have a prepaid ground label for their package that needs to be picked up.  Please have the label with you as the agent may ask for the number off the label.  Using the automated FedEx service at  1-800-GO-FEDEX will allow for the automated setup of a pickup but is only useful if you have an existing account with FedEx.

I am trying to test a vehicle and I am getting "Too Early"?

Vehicles can only be tested 91 days prior to their expiration date.  On occasions it becomes necessary for a station to test a vehicle that is for resale prior to this time.  Contact your DMV Inspector/Enforcement Office for the special override license plate number that will allow this inspection to proceed.

DMV Offices: Can help with general program questions, inspection override code, technician access, scheduling visits for station license changes (i.e. you have purchased and OBDII upgrade kit)

Verizon Station Help Desk: Any State-Owned facilities should contact the Verizon help desk for all technical questions/issues

BanaLogic Techical Support: Provides assistance for OBDII upgrades and for customer who purchased a unit through BanaLogic or one of their authorized resellers.

Absolutely! BanaLogic is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and high quality products. We release software updates on a period basis. Many of the enhancements are as a result of customer requests! We do our best to include changes where possible. We are limited by some program specification and requirements but we love to discuss with you, your ideas!
