July 2007 - MDE Launches OBD Wireless Pilot

The Maryland Department of Environment implements BanaLogic's Remote OBDII Emission Diagnostics Solution on a pilot basis. With help from the University of Maryland, a number of campus fleet vehicles were equipped with BanaLogic's Remote Testing Units (RTU). Emission related data was successfully collected and wirelessly transmitted to BanaLogic's vehicle inspection database for monitoring and reporting.

BanaLogic gets selected to design and develop Air Check Virginia’s On-Road Enforcement Management Application. The system interfaces and collects data from a number of sources including the vehicle inspections database, the on-road emission collections agent and the department of motor vehicles. The system itself is a web-based application with comprehensive functionality to review, manage, notify, and follow-up on vehicles identified with excessive emissions.
