North Carolina Mandates Electronic Authorization Software

The State of North Carolina mandates Electronic Authorization (E-Authorization) effective November 1, 2008. Physical stickers will no longer be placed on the windshield of the vehicle. Upon passing an inspection, an electronic authorization number will be assigned to the vehicle which will appear on the inspection report and will provide the state with an electronic record of the inspection. The Electronic Authorizations will apply to both safety and emission inspections. 3000 units of BanaLogic’s BL-A100 dual purpose inspection analyzers were deployed to meet the change in the programs process.
